The Summer retreat at Guhyaloka was small in numbers but it made up for that in quality! Sadhita and I led the meditation and yoga (Sadhita did that – not me) and in the evenings we studied the five main areas of Buddhist practice – Mindfulness, Positive Emotion, Spiritual death and Rebirth, and Altruistic activity. We were joined by a Swede from Stockholm, a Spaniard from Valencia and an Englishman who has lived almost everywhere but the UK. It was a friendly, stimulating weeks with some lively discussions. I would have liked more men to have been able to benefit from the week but the intimacy of a small group was very enjoyable.
