Burton-on-Trent is of course famous for Beer – the downtown area near the station is a mixture of Victorian factory buildings, small shops, and houses – it reminds me of the early fifties, that combination of factories and houses all of dark brick. It is not unattractive in a particular way. The moorings felt safe and convenient for the town.
