Fradley Junction is where the Coventry Canal starts from the Trent and Mersey. It is a busy and attractive location with five narrow locks and bridges,an eighteenth century pub and terrace of cottages at the main wharf, and two cafes with a chandlers and CRT visitor’s centre. Close by there is a canal reservoir set in old mixed woodland that doubles and a nature reserve, and the whole area is a delightful mixture of old woodlands and open fields. The moorings above the locks are quiet and pretty especially with the bright autumn skies and low light on the red and gold of the trees that over arch the canal,
